Naomi Nthiga is currently pursuing an MSc in Road Management and Engineering. With over five years of experience in road maintenance, Naomi has developed a keen interest in the innovative applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the field. Her research project, "Leveraging accelerometer data for pothole mapping and risk prediction: A QGIS-based approach for road maintenance," uniquely incorporates the use of scooters to assess road conditions, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of her methodologies. Naomi is passionate about integrating practical GIS solutions to enhance infrastructure management and promote sustainability.
